Help Police Find Witness To Woman killed in 2-vehicle crash in Parkway

According to reports, State Police are seeking the public’s assistance as the investigation is underway in a crash that happened last weekend on the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge that led to the death of a 51-year-old Scotch Plains woman.

The victim identified as Melissa M. Craven was on course north of the Parkway at about 3 p.m on Saturday when an oncoming vehicle collided close to a milepost 131.9, according to officials. Her SUV somersaulted and she flew out of the vehicle and was recovered dead on the scene, the event left the driver with minor injuries.

Police have asked the public or anyone who witnessed the accident to call the State Police’s Troop D Bloomfield Station at 732-441-4500 ext. 3400.
