42-year-old Robert Keys, of Niles and 13-year-old Sylas Keys, St. Joseph have been identified by authorities as the two people that lost their lives following two-vehicle accident that happened on Monday, September 21, 2021 in Sodus Township in Michigan.

The accident happened at about 6 p.m. on Sodus Parkway

According to report, a 2015 Toyota Corolla driven by Robert was going eastbound on Sodus Parkway on wet roadway when the driver driver of the vehicle lost control of the vehicle and veered into the westbound lanes of an oncoming an a 2018 Subaru Outback also travelling on Sodus Parkway. The Subaru then crashed into the passenger side of the Corolla.

Robert and his front seat passenger, Sylas suffered serious injuries and both died of their injuries at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, an 8-year-old child in the vehicle sustained major injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The child’s condition is still critical.

Occupants of both vehicles were reportedly wearing their seatbelts when the accident occurred. It was not made known if the driver of the Subaru received any injury.
