Police say two people were shot at Archer Heights on the southwest side, about half a mile apart while.
According to the Chicago police, a man, 26, was standing outside shortly after midnight on the Block 1800 of South Daman Avenue when he was shot in the buttocks.
First responders transported him to Rosh University Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
An hour later, another man was shot while walking about a mile away, police said.
The 29-year-old boy was walking around 1:05 a.m. in the 1800 building on Laplin Avenue when he was shot in the abdomen, police said.
He was transferred to “Rosh” and then transferred to Strager Hospital, where he too was in fair condition.
None of the incidents were in custody since the early hours of Friday morning.
Another pair of shots fired at the time and location occurred Thursday in the south loop on the nearby west side.
A 25-year-old man was involved in a physical altercation with another man around 11:45 p.m. in the parking lot of a food store on Block 1300 of South Canal Street when he was shot in the head and hand, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Struger, where he later died, police said. His name has not yet been released.
About an hour earlier, in Block 1400 of South Canal Street, a 19-year-old man was shot in the left leg by someone in a passing SUV, police said.
He was also taken to Strugger, where he is listed in a stable condition.
Police said the two shots were unrelated.
