Tshepang Mosikidi Death – Cause of Death – Tshepang Mosikidi family alerted the police that the seven-year-old girl was last seen in the company of an unknown man after she was reported missing on Saturday 18 September 2021.
police confirmed that Mosikidi’s lifeless body had been in a nearby maize field on Monday.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, the 7-year-old was last seen walking about in the neighborhood of the Phahameng section in Tlholong Township with her friend.
Later that day, only Mosikidi’s friend made it home safely. When she was asked, she revealed that “a certain man in the area had given them 5 rands and asked Mosikidi to walk with him.”
The 25-year-old suspect was spotted at HaNchabeng Village in Qwaqwa after two days of Mosikidi’s disappearance. The man was approached and arrested.
Brigadier Makhele said, “The body was recovered in a nearby maize field and will be taken to Government Mortuary for post-mortem to be conducted and establish the cause of her death.”
Currently, there are no details of the identity of the 25-year-old the police arrested and charged for Mosikidi’s death.
From what we know, the victim’s friend was instrumental in identifying the man who allegedly lured them with an R5 coin.
The police have not released the cause of the little girl’s death.
