Authorities have identified Daniel Valenzuela Sr., 69, Daniel Valenzuela Jr., 37 and Andrea Iglesias Uvalle, 84 as the three Lamesa residents that lost their lives in a tragic two-motor vehicle accident that happened on the northwest side of San Antonio.

The fatal two-vehicle accident that claimed the lives of the Lamesa residents took place on Sunday around 1:30 a.m. at Texas Loop 1604 bridge and Culebra Road.

According to report, the accident occurred when a vehicle travelling east at high rate of speed on Culebra Road ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle beneath the Loop 1604 bridge.

Following the crash, two occupants of the vehicle that was struck died at the scene of the crash while a third occupant was pronounced dead at the hospital. A  fourth passenger in the vehicle only identified as a 35-year-old female was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the at fault vehicle, identified as 17-year-old male showed signs of intoxication at the scene of the crash. It was not made known if any arrest was made.

The crash remains under investigation.
