Thomas F. Halligan Obituary – Death, Thomas F. Halligan Funeral

Thomas F. Halligan, age 84, of Lynn, died peacefully on Tuesday in a local nursing home after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucille M. (Tardi) Halligan. Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Patrick and Mary (Mannion) Halligan. He was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and had lived in Lynn for the greater part of his life.

Thomas served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He had worked as a flight crew scheduler for Delta Airlines for many years until his retirement. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Gannon Golf Club in Lynn. He was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 10 in Lynn. Tom enjoyed many years of traveling with family and good friends.

Tom is survived by his three children; Patrick Halligan and his wife Shelly, Lisa Legget and Stacey McCarthy, all of Lynn; five grandchildren, Kahleigh Am, Simone Leggett, Thomas Halligan, Brendan McCarthy and Owen McCarthy; three great-grandchildren, Kiley, Emma and Chan Am, as well as his brother, Richard Halligan and his wife Laraine. He was the brother of the late Sr. Helen, John, Walter and James Halligan.

Service Information: His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 1PM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11AM-1PM, prior to the service.
