Teen, 14, charged after gun found in Richland Northeast High School

A 14-year-old female teen has been arrested and charged after a firearm was found at Richland Northeast High School, officials say.

The student of the said school is reportedly facing charges of possession of firearm on school property, possession of a pistol under 18 and unlawful carrying of a pistol.

Authorities said the unidentified teen admitted to bringing the firearm to school and handing it over to a 14-year-old boy, who is now facing charged of possession of weapon on school grounds, possession of a pistol under 18 and unlawful carrying of firearm.

The both students are being held in the juvenile wing of Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, reports states.
