Authorities say two individuals apprehended in shooting of a 12-year-old Troy boy have been charged, according to reports.
MJ Rivera was inside his house doing chores when he was struck by a stray bullet, court documents shows.
Rivera is now reportedly paralyzed as a result of the shooting.
The two suspects 24-year-old Julian Soto and an unidentified 17-year-old have been charged with attempted murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, according to the court document.
In a statement, District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly said “with the evidence finally in place, we were able to present this case to a grand jury. We are one step closer to justice for the Rivera family.”
