Stacy Stevens, George Ardoin Died On La. Hwy. 367, Acadia Parish Two-Car Accident

49-year-old Stacy Lemoine Stevens, of Eunice and 4-year-old George Ardoin of Mamou have died in a fatal two-car accident that occurred on La. Hwy. 367 near La. Hwy. 1106. around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Acadia Parish.

According to preliminary investigation, The crash happened when Stevens who was travelling south on la 367 in a 2016 Nissan Maxima lost control of his car, left the road way and crossed into the path of an oncoming northbound 2008 Toyota RAV4 SUV with four occupants; two adults and two children and the Maxima was crashed into by the RAV4 SUV.

Stevens sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, two adults occupants of the RAV4 who were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash incurred serious injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

On the other hand, the two children in the RAV4 SUV also sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital where Ardoin died of his injuries. It was not made known if the teen were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.

Toxicology samples were collected from both driver s for analysis.  Investigation into the cause of the crash is still ongoing.
