Officials of the St. Louis police said, a teenager was injured in a drive-by shooting in the South St. Louis midday Sunday.

Reports said a number of men were at the porch in the 3100 block of Miami Street in Gravois Park neighborhood, where a vehicle passed and opened fire.

Responding officers located a male at the scene with a gunshot wound to his back. He was taken to the hospital in a stable condition.

A homicide unit has been requested. This is an ongoing investigation.
