Nassau Police Searching For Missing Roslyn Heights Man

UPDATE: Nassau police announced at 9:38 p.m. that Surinder Malhotra was located.

ROSLYN, NY — The Nassau County Police Department’s Missing Persons Squad are searching for a Roslyn Heights man who has not been seen since Wednesday.

Detectives said that Surinder Malhotra, 79, was last seen leaving his Shade Tree Lane home at about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Malhotra, who has brown eyes, gray hair and a beard, is described as an Indian man who stands at about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 187 pounds, according to police.

He was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit with black stripes, a dark blue jacket, and black sneakers, police said. It is not clear where he was headed.

Detectives are requesting anyone with information about Malhotra to contact the Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347, or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
