Samantha Hopper – Death – Obituary: Remains found in vehicle of Arkansas, woman missing since 1998 from US State.

ARKANSAS, US State – Woman missing for almost 23 years, Samantha Hopper was last seen on the 9th of November 1998 in Russellville, Arkansas. She disappeared along with her daughter, Courtney Holt who was 22 month-old at the time.

Multiple sources say she had told her mother who she was leaving with at the time that she was attending a concert at Little Rock with a friend and never returned.

Samantha who was 19-year-old at the time of her disappearance was reportedly 8 months pregnant at the time she went missing.

Samantha Hopper description:

The then 19-year-old was described as a White female who is approximately 5’2″ feet tall and weighs about 125 pounds. She has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Distinctive features were given as a scar on her neck and pierced ears.

Search for Samantha Hopper:

Authorities carried out several searches for Samantha after she was reported missing. Over the years they have been various searches for them but it all turned up nothing.

The Pope County Sheriff’s Office also asked the help of the public at the time in finding them.

An age-progression picture was made to enable them to find both mother and daughter.

On Tuesday, October 26th, 2021 at about 9 am, AWP began a search for Samantha and her daughter. The reason for this was not given but the search was headed by Jacob Grubbs and his team from Chaos Divers met up with AWP. Samantha’s mother, Debbie, her daughter Debbie and her best friend Selena all joined the crew in the search.

They were said to have followed clues from the events of that day and thoroughly searched the area of Lake Dardanelle with AWP taking the route along Mill Creek, sending Chaos Divers into the Illinois Bayou near Pleasant View Road.

At about 10 am, one of the search crew Jacob was able to identify a target on sonar under the West Pleasant View Road Bridge in 11 feet of water.

According to a Facebook post by MrLeisek, “Jared and Jacob we able to attach a magnet with Doug diving down to identify the missing blue Ford Tempo with missing license plate due to being a new car. At 12:15 P.M. Jared placed a call to 911 to report today’s discovery. With Pope Count having a dive team, AWP was on scene to assist with the vehicle recovery.”

The vehicle was reportedly hoisted onto the Pleasant View Road Bridge, confirming that human remains were inside.

Samantha Hopper death:

The remains are believed to be that of Samantha Hopper although, a full autopsy is set to be conducted before the final confirmation using DNA from Debbie and Dezarea.

Authorities said “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Samantha’s family during this difficult time. We will have a full edit of our search and recovery efforts available in the next few months. Hug the ones you love for you never know when it might be the last time you see them. We are humbled by the opportunity all of you have given us to help in the search for answers as to what happened to Samantha and her babies.”
