Rosevile High School lockdown – students are safe

A code red lockdown has been declared Wednesday morning by Rolesville High School principal, after reports of a potential threat. Wednesday morning.

“After reporting the threat to law enforcement and WCPSS Security officials, we are moved into a code red lockdown while law enforcement and security officials continue to investigate the source of the threat,” school officials said in a message to parents. “These steps are taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of our students and faculty.”

No other details were immediately available.

“They sent this long email, and that is all they are telling us,” parent Crystal Harris said of the information from the school. “They are telling us we can’t get our kids. That is it. That is what they always send us, the same generic letter every time.”

Parents have been instructed to wait for the all clear, which will come from authorities when they feel it is safe.
