Robert Wilkinson Obituary- Death, Robert Wilkinson Funeral

Robert T. Wilkinson, age 95, a lifelong resident 0f Lynn, passed away December 31, 2021. Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Thomas A. and Marjorie (Raney) Wilkinson.

Bob was a graduate of Lynn English High School and after having served in the US Navy, he graduated from Suffolk University. Bob was employed as a social worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

He was a devout Catholic and throughout his life he attended Mass every Sunday at St. Pius Church in Lynn, the church his father had been a founding member. Bob could be seen sitting always in the back middle row on the left.

Bob was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. When he wasn’t watching a game, he could often be seen reading Shakespeare or working the Boston Globe daily crossword puzzle. He was kind, always considerate, a great guy, quick witted, well read and loyal; a life well lived, a life well loved.

Bob leaves behind his niece, Donna O’Malley, and ten other nieces and nephews., his blessed family from The Lynn Home for the Elderly, his cherished, lifelong friend, Rose Anne DeFilippo and her husband Artie and their sons Michael and Anthony. In addition, he will be missed by his many friends in Peabody.

Service Information: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Pius Catholic Church, 215 Maple St., Lynn, Thursday at 10:30 A.M. Arrangements under the direction of Goodrich Funeral Home, Lynn.
