Rebecca Felix Soto Death – Cause of Death – Officers have identified an adult woman who was found dead near a railroad tracks with obvious signs of trauma.
The Police responded to a residence in the 400 block of E. Palmdale Street, south of Ajo Way at around 1:00 a.m. for reports of unknown trouble.
The woman identified as Rebecca Felix Soto, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was later after further investigation that the police discovered that Rebecca was involved in an argument with somebody she knew. Some moments after the argument gunshot was heard.
Police due to research have identified the murder, Anthony Salcido Jr., 31, who left home after the incident. Fortunately, the police found Salcido Jr. attempting to leave a different home in the 4600 block of S. Via Conquistador alongside Anthony Salcido Sr., 53.
Both men were detained, police say. Detectives obtained a search warrant and established probable cause to arrest Salcido Sr.
The 31-year-old man was booked into Pima County Jail on First-Degree Murder and Abandon/Concealment of a Dead Body. While Salcido Sr. was booked on the charges of Abandon/Concealment of a Dead Body, Prohibited Possessor, and Tampering with Evidence.
