Authorities are seeking for the suspect(s) in a shooting that left a man dead near Gallaudet University in Northeast D.C., according to reports.
Officials responded to the 1800 block of West Virginia Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday on a shots fired reports. Arriving officers located an adult male with at least a gunshot wound, according to Metropolitan Police Department 5th District Watch Commander Lt. John Sprague.
He was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, Lt. Sprague added.
“The 1800 block of West Virginia Avenue is shut down Tuesday morning while homicide detectives conduct their investigation,” according to Sprague.
Mobile Police Department said on Twitter they are looking for a silver sedan with two people inside.
A suspect is believed to be about 30-35 years old, wearing a red and gray sweatshirt, jeans and white shoes.
Police are still working to establish a motive in this case.
