A fatal accident has been reported by the Los Angeles Police Department on Monday morning around 7 a.m. in the Ellendale Place and Adams Boulevard area.

A 91-year-old woman was walking through an area near the University Park junction when she was knocked by a pickup moving backward.

Surveillance video captured the deadly crash. Police say “the driver of the pickup stopped her vehicle and got out after she hit the woman, she looked at the victim in the roadway and about three minutes later she got back in the white pickup truck and left the scene.”

Official also stated that the driver did not help the victim as stated under California law.

The victim was later rushed to hospital by the Authorities where she was confirmed dead.

The identity of the victim is not revealed yet unless next of kin is notified.
