Patricia A. Pulsifer On January 9, 2022, Patricia A. Pulsifer, 80, of Hamden, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family, including her beloved husband of almost 50 years, Freeman Arthur Pulsifer, Jr. She was born in New Haven on April 9, 1941, daughter of the late Timothy Joseph Looney and Catherine Farrington Looney. Patricia graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven. She attended Southern Connecticut State University and began working at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Her career spanned over four decades, many years as an insurance manager. Pat was known for her sharp sense of humor, unwavering honesty, and profound generosity. She was happiest when hosting friends to celebrate special occasions such as St. Patrick’s Day, her annual picnic, or to enthusiastically watch college basketball as an avid fan of the UConn women’s team. She also cherished her summer visits to the Cape and occasional trips to Florida. In addition to her close-knit group of lifelong friends, her family was most dear to her and she loved them deeply. She absolutely adored being a grandmother. Besides her husband Frank, she is survived by her cherished children, Laurie Anne Pulsifer and Emily Cohen of Wethersfield and Mary and Ryan Kinahan of Marblehead, MA; grandchildren William and Kate Kinahan; her loving siblings, Cathy and John DeFrancesco of Northford and Timothy J. Looney, Jr. of Hobe Sound, FL; her niece Erica Defrancesco and Gregg Debowsky and their daughter Laina of Cheshire; and nephew Jay Defranceso of North Haven. The family wishes to thank all of her caregivers, including family and special friends that provided extra support for her especially over these past two years. A mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 13th. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
