Dylan Dessasore Death – Obituary : Police say a man of Bronx was killed in a double shooting while hanging out with friends near his apartment, according to reports.
The victim, identified by friends as 43-year-old Dylan Dessasore, had Just recorded a Facebook live video railing against poverty in the Bronx just hours hours before the gunfire, reports said.
Investigations showed that about 4 p.m., the victim and a group of friends were outside the Sotomayor Houses on Bruckner Blvd. near Beach Ave. in Soundview when a masked gunman dressed all in black fired off six rounds.
“He was with a group of guys drinking, and somebody came up and shot him,” a witness said.
“He and his friends were trying to enjoy life, but you can’t do that nowadays. He just posted something positive on Facebook, and something really negative happened to him. He’s dead.”
Dessasore was shot in the chest; medics took him to Jacobi Medical Center, but he couldn’t be saved. A second man, 37, was hit in the feet, police added.
“He was posting on Facebook Live about politics a few hours ago,” said one friend, Nelson Santiago, 39, a supermarket manager. “I’m surprised it happened here. This was his block. He was an entrepreneur living his life. Everybody around here was his family. I can’t believe it.”
Police have made no arrests.
