Phoenix police are still investigating the incident that happened on Monday evening around 5:30 p.m. in Phoenix.
One person was confirmed dead following the three vehicle crash on 35th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.
The officials stated that a black SUV was at a red light on 35th Avenue when it was struck by a pick-up driving on a high speed before it was finally stuck with a semi-truck.
Authorities reported that as at the time they arrived at the scene, the three vehicles were on fire.
The driver of the SUV sustained sever injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene by the police.
The driver of the pickup and truck were sent to the hospital for the treatment of their injuries.
The identity of the deceased person is yet to be released by the officials pending when next of kin is notified.
