Officer Paramhans Desai dead, Blue Alert issued for gunman

Paramhans Desai Death – Paramhans Desai, a Henry County Police Department has succumbed to his injuries Monday after being struck by a bullet last week as he tried to make an arrest.

Henry County Police Department, in a press release, stated; “officer Desai continues to serve, even in his passing, by donating multiple organs which will save numerous lives. Please continue to keep Officer Desai’s family in your thoughts and prayers through this terrible tragedy.”

The veteran officer who also worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections and DeKalb County Police joined the department in 2020 and is a father of two beautiful kids.

22-year-old Jordan Jackson, has been identified as the gunman who shot Desai. Officials say he is still at large and may be armed and dangerous. Officials say he fled the scene in a

white 2016 Honda Civic

A Blue Alert has been issued for Jackson.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on Jackson’s whereabouts to contact 911 or Henry County police at 770-957-9121. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 800-597-TIPS (8477) or on the GBI website.
