Paddy Muldoon Death: Obituary – It is sad to announce the death of former Mayo GAA Chairperson Paddy Muldoon and current Westport GAA President Paddy who died on Sunday afternoon.
The cause of his death has not been made known to the public.
Paddy hails from Aughagower and was an active member of the Mayo County Board and was also their current patron.
In 1959 Paddy initially won a west Mayo junior medal with Islandeady before returning to Westport.
In the mid-60s he was made chairman of Westport GAA which he held for 9 years.
In 1971 the Mayo minors won the All-Ireland and Paddy was also on the line that day as a selector.
Westport GAA club paid their tributes: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our club president Paddy Muldoon.”
