Michael K Williams Death: Obituary – The 54-year-old American actor Michael K Williams has been found dead in his home in New York.
Williams who was nominated for three Emmy Awards was found dead due to what police suspected as a drug overdose. The cause of his death is not officially confirmed yet.
Michael is well known for starring in the HBO drama series ‘The Wire’.
He played the role of Omar Little, a gay, street robber of drug gangs in ‘The Wire’.
He also played Albert Chalky White in the prohibition period TV series Broadwalk Empire.
Actor Edward Norton who worked with Williams on the 2019 film Motherless Brooklyn wrote: “If he was in a scene he was the best thing about it. Period.”
Wendell Pierce The Wire co-star tweeted: “The depth of my love for this brother, can only be matched by the depth of my pain learning of his loss.”
Pierce added: “An immensely talented man with the ability to give voice to the human condition portraying the lives of those whose humanity is seldom elevated until he sings their truth.”
