Gérard Farison Death: Obituary – Gérard Faison a legend of Saint-Etienne (a club in the France League), has died on Wednesday 8, 2021. The cause of his death is still unknown to the public. Farison died at the age of 77.
His death was learned from the newspaper Progress this Wednesday.
Farison was one of the big absentees from the lost 1976 European final, injured ten days before against Nîmes. Trained at AS Saint-Etienne, the left side wore the green tunic 412 times. He would have finished at 413, at least, if a match against Nîmes Olympique had not degenerated.
AS Saint-Etienne posted on Twitter following his demise;
“From the 1963 #Gambardella Cup to the 1976 European Champion Clubs’ Cup final, the Terrenoire native has written some of the most beautiful pages in our history. The #ASSE mourns a child of the Green family.”
