Norman Bailey Obituary, Death, Cause Of Death – Come on man y’all didn’t have to kill him smh!! Norman Bailey 4th District City Councilman & owner of the Blue room bar in Gary was tragically killed last night at his bar prayers to his wife Ursula Bailey his children & all his family & friends you all are in my prayers.

this so sad to wake up to this news that someone took your life in a senseless manner: we laughed at family reunion and you just message me other day wishing me well with my covid I’m so sorry I know this affects everyone associated with the Baileys and everyone he impacted. Cousin you will truly be missed lots of memories from 5th ave to my first pager from you.

It saddens me to hear that a Gentle Soul has gained his wings  it’s a shame people can’t even go back home to Gary to visit family and friends may end up being Killed…. Lord have Mercy on our Souls. I’m Sending Condolences to my classmate and family Carla Jude and will keep them in my Prayers during this troubling time. I loved seeing these two together they were like PEACHES AND CREAM Rest in Peace

Waking up to some of the worst news ever. Why? For him to pass away would hurt, but murder!!! This is a different kind of hurt! I would’ve never thought hugging my Uncle Norman Bailey at the school meeting would be the last time.

Norman Bailey Obituary – Death, Norman Bailey was shot to death, Norman Bailey is dead

I only met Norman Bailey a year ago when I joined the GCSC Advisory Board. He immediately embraced me as a colleague with his warm and gentle smile. He even nominated me to serve as the Board’s Vice President. Norm and I saw each other again this past Sunday when we attended a meeting to advocate for Gary students and teachers. I am profoundly saddened by the news of his senseless death. I extend my deepest condolences to the Bailey Family and I mourn the loss of this stalwart of our community.

Gary is mourning the loss of a businessman and community member who was found shot to death early Friday. Norman Bailey helped keep Gary running. It was his home, his place of work, and the city’s affairs were his passion. His colleagues said he loved it there.

“His fingerprints are all over our community and it is such a loss for us all,” said Akilia McCain, who served with Bailey on the Gary community school advisory board.
