42-year-old Taylor man killed in Dearborn Heights hit-and-run accident
A motorcyclist has been confirmed dead following a hit-and-run crash that took place in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
The hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of the motorcyclist happened on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 around 10:15 p.m. at Van Born Road and Campbell Street.
According to report, the 42-year-old Taylor man motorcycle was rear-ended by an older model Ford F-150.
Dearborn Heights authorities arrived the scene and found the motorcyclist lying unconscious. He was transported to Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the hit-and-run vehicle fled the scene immediately after the crash. Further investigation shows that the vehicle might have been greenish” in color but authorities found red paint at the scene of the crash.
The hit-and-run vehicle that is suspected to have front-end damage was last seen heading west on Van Born Road, toward Telegraph Road.
Investigation into the crash is underway.
