Two killed on Highway 65 hit and run accident
The California Highway Patrol has identified the victims that lost their lives in a fatal Olivehurst head-on crash.
The incident took place on Wednesday, Sept. 15, around 2:08 p.m. on Highway 65.
The preliminary report stated that a Dodge Durango occupied by Deanna Hernandez and Cary Ojeda was driving down southbound on Highway 70 when they were crashed by a stolen Ford truck driven by Chase Hammonds, 25, that was being pursued by police in northbound lane.

According to the officials, during the crash, the stolen truck hit a Chevy Silverado but the occupant of the vehicle did not sustain injuries.
The impact of the crash caused the Dodge to somersault and trap the occupants.
The occupants of the vehicle were extricated from the vehicle and were rushed to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
Authorities revealed that Chase exited the scene by foot before the arrival of the police.
No arrest has been made currently. The crash is still under investigation.
