Woman, 2, children killed, 3 others flown to hospital following a fatal car accident
At least three persons; a mother and her two children (aged 6 and 10) have lost their lives in a fatal car accident on the NSW Central Coast around 10 p.m.
According to report, on Tuesday evening, a Toyota Prado occupied by five children was driving down Wisemans Ferry Road, Central Mangrove. When getting to Nurses Road, it went off the road, rolled off an embankment and hit a tree.
The officials reported to the scene and pronounced the 32-year-old female driver and two children, a six-year-old girl and 10-year-old boy, dead at the scene.
The identities of the deceased persons have not been released yet pending notification of other family members.
Three other children, boys aged one, 5 and 9 got serious injuries and were flown to John Hunter Hospital after being treated by paramedics.
A 37-year-old man who was driving a Hyundai has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police are still investigating if another car travelling on Wisemans Ferry Road shortly after the crash hit one of the children who was on the road.
Wisemans Ferry Road, near Nurses Road was closed for investigation and clearing of scene but has been reopened.
