A missing 16-year-old teen who was reportedly abducted out of North Carolina, has been found as she used TikTok, hand gestures, to signal that she needed help. The Laurel County Police said that the signal was caught by a passer-by who recognized and understood what she was signaling about, and called 911, who quickly attended to the call at about 12:30pm

How the police caught James Brick

According  Laurel County Sheriff John Root, the anonymous caller was actively behind the car that the teenager was in with a 61-year-old man he reported that the girl was in a silver Toyota being driven south on Interstate 75.

The police were critical in their chase as they blocked the car ahead, and discovered the girl was a 16-year-old girl whose parents had reported her missing on Tuesday, out of Asheville, North Carolina. and the driver was identified as 61-year-old James Herbert Brick of Cherokee, North Carolina.

What happened to the missing teen?

Apparently, he had traveled through North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky with the missing teen. His family opposed to him bringing an underage home, which caused Bricks to take the 16-year-old out of Ohio, where his relatives are.

Investigations showed that Bricks was actually going to molest the teenager as Deputies found a phone in Brick’s possession with an image “that allegedly portrayed a juvenile female in a sexual manner,” this was enough for the police to know that the man meant no good for the 16-year-old.

The suspect was booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center in London, where he remained jailed Monday ahead of a court date scheduled for Tuesday, jail records show, and was charged with one count each of first-degree unlawful imprisonment and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance of a minor over the age of 12 but under the age of 18.
