Missing Kayaker Found Dead -Death – Obituary: 45-year-old Kayaker missing from Mamaroneck on Monday found dead near Orchard Beach in the Bronx.
BRONX, US State – Laurence Broderick, 45-year-old who went missing from Mamaroneck Monday night has been found dead.
Laurence Broderick missing:
The missing Kayaker was last seen on Monday, October 25th, 2021 leaving Hempstead for Mamaroneck but he never got to his destination. He had left Hempstead on a kayaking trip around 9 p.m., but Broderick’s mother called the police after he didn’t return.
A search began for him after he was noticed to be missing. The Coast Guard unit led in the search and was able to recover his body hours after he went missing.
The search was aided by the Nassau County, Westchester, Rye, and Eastchester police departments.
Laurence Broderick found dead:
According to multiple sources, the Coast Guard officials reportedly found some items belonging to the kayaker which includes his kayak, with his cellphone, at New Rochelle’s Glen Island Beach around 2 p.m. Tuesday but he remained missing.
The body of Laurence was later found in the water near Orchard Beach in the Bronx.

The body found in the Bronx has now been confirmed to be that of the missing kayaker, Laurence Broderick.
The cause of death of Laurence has not been given. Authorities have offered their condolences to the family of Laurence who requests privacy at the time to grieve.
