The Minneapolis Police Department has revealed there is an ongoing investigation in connection to a double separate fatal shootings that ensued after some series of altercations on the late hours of Sunday.

At about 7:52 p.m., Minneapolis police got a ShotSpotter activation on the 800 Block of Glenwood Avenue North. While officers were on their way there, another ShotSpotter activation came in from the 300 block of Morgan Avenue North.

On arrival, officers reportedly discovered a man of about 20-year and above in a pathway. He had “multiple” gunshot wounds, he was transported¬† to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter, according to reports.

Police believe the victim and at least one suspect got into a dispute inside a business in the area and shots were fired, hitting the victim. The victim then fled on foot and the suspect continued to shoot the victim. The suspect fled on seeing the victim collapse.

A few hours before, police responded to a 911 call at about  5:17 p.m. about a person being shot near the 1200 block of Lake Street, in south Minneapolis.

On arrival, officers found a man, believed to be in his 30s, suffering from apparent gunshot injuries, he was taken to the hospital in a critical condition. He reportedly died few hours later, according to reports.
