Mia Brailford Missing – Update – Joy! as missing student was found safe.

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – According to report a missing teenager who went missing during JROTC field trip to Georgia has been found safe in Alabama.

Upson County, Georgia, Sheriff Dan Kilgore said on Monday that 16-year-old Mia Brailford from South Florida was found at around 4:00 p.m. on Monday in Phenix City, Alabama.

According to Kilgore, Mia is safe and in the company of law enforcement officers. She was located with the collaboration of multiple law enforcement agencies.

It was not immediately known if Mia knew the suspect, whose name has not been released.

Earlier: Mia Brailford went missing on Saturday night during a trip to the Gerald Lawhorn Scouting Base in Molena, Georgia.

The  school board in a news release said “The Palm Beach County School Board, Superintendent Mike Burke, and the entire District wish to commend and thank Sheriff Kilgore, and all who participated, for their tremendous assistance in locating Mia and bringing this situation to a peaceful conclusion”.

Kilgore said a suspect was apprehended at the location where Brailford was found and is expected to face a felony charge of interstate interference with child custody
