Masayuki Uemura Death – Obituary: Masayuki Uemura, the engineer who played a key part in Nintendo’s early forays into video games and was the lead architect on both the NES and SNES, has passed away at the age of 78.
The Nintendo that Uemura joined in the 70s was still centered around hanafuda cards, and it was his engineering prowess that helped it make new inroads into the toy industry.
