Authorities disclosed a man was shot and killed in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood early Thursday, reports states.
Emergency Dispatchers received multiple shots fired calls at about 1:06 a.m., near Second Avenue and Vine Street, according to reports..
On Police arrival, they found a man in the 2600 block of Second Avenue with a gunshot wound to the chest.
According to reports, Police and firefighters tried to save the victim, but the man, who is said to be about 50 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials are yet to disclosed the identity of the deceased man
“This is the third reported shooting this evening just in the west precinct, for those to all three happen in the west precinct, I mean, that is a lot. Three people that were subject to gun violence,” said SPD Detective Valerie Carson.
Members of SPD’s Crime Scene Investigative Unit processed the scene for evidence. Homicide detectives will lead the investigation, according to reports.
