Authorities are investigating after a shooting Wednesday morning in West Side Lawndale left one dead.
Officials reports to the scene in the 4000 block of West Grenshaw Street at about 5;15 a.m. on reports of person being shot.
Arriving officers found a male identified only as a 41-year-old man lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The male was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, reports says.
Frazier International Magnet School is located on the same block where the shooting occurred, authorities disclosed.
Detectives says no one is in custody Tuesday.
