One dies, another injured following vehicles crash near, Shepherdsville 127 mile marker
One person has been confirmed dead following a fatal accident on Interstate 65, northwest side of Indianapolis.
The crash happened on Monday morning at approximately 5:20 a.m. near the 127 mile marker.
Initial investigation revealed that a Jeep Wrangler was moving northbound on the median near 86th Street when it was crashed by another vehicle moving on the southbound lane.
One of the victims of the accident got injuries from the crash, he was extricated by the Firefighters from Pike Township and was moved to hospital where he finally gave up the ghost.
The driver of the Jeep also sustained injured but it has been reported that he is in a stable condition at the hospital.
Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in this crash.
The identity of deceased is not yet released pending next of kin’s notification.
The crash remains under investigation.
