On Tuesday, a 22 year-old man had died and the other striving for survival in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Colfax Township.
Shortly before midnight several agencies were sent to M-53 north of Rapson Road for a single-vehicle crash, Huron County Sheriff, Kelly Hanson said, “initial investigation indicated that a northbound vehicle lost control and turned several times.”
According to Hanson, one of the persons in the vehicle was forcefully pulled out and pronounced dead at the scene while the other 23 year-old man who is struggling for his life was rushed to McLaren Thumb by ambulance before being transferred to unmentioned hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Hanson said “speed and alcohol could be part of this accident.”
They are yet to find out who the driver is between the two men.
“Both men were staying in Port Austin and were from out-of-state.” Said Hanson.
The identities of the victims are yet to be disclosed. The crash is still under investigation.
