Man critically injured, one arrested on suspicion of DUI in San Diego

One person has been knocked by a vehicle on Sept. 12, 2021, in San Diego, around 5:20 p.m. on Sunday.

According to report, a male pedestrian in his 30’s was walking when he was knocked by a Chevrolet Captiva driven by a 46-year-old man, that was trying to make a left turn from eastbound G Street onto 11th Avenue.

The officials said the pedestrian was lying on the ground when they arrived at the scene. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment of a compound fracture to his right leg.

Authorities reported that the driver of the vehicle was under influence during the incident. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The crash is still under investigation by the officials.
