Man dead, suspect on the run after shooting on East Side

Authorities are seeking for the gunman who allegedly shot and killed a man after an altercation in the East Side early Sunday morning.

San Antonio police were called to the 2600 block of Tillie Drive at about 2:50 a.m., Sunday, on a shots fired reports. Arriving officer located a man on the ground suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.

EMS arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene, reports said.

A witness said he saw a white sedan drive down the road at a high rate of speed, make a U-turn and then speed off.

Police say they got a call moments later from a man saying, he was driving two other men when both of them got into an argument.

Both of the men pulled guns on each other, and one of them fatally shot the other, according to police.

The driver stopped and the man pulled the body out of the car and fled on foot.

Police said they have not identified the suspect and the victim.

The investigation is ongoing.
