Man dead, another injured in shooting in palm bay Florida

Authorities say a person was shot dead and two others injured during a Halloween gathering at a lounge in Palm Bay.

The shooting happened just before midnight Sunday at the Bee Hive, a venue in a shopping plaza off Arlington Lane near Palm Bay Road.

An adult man was located at the scene suffering from fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The case is the 33rd reported homicide to take place in Brevard County since Jan. 1.

The crime scene had been cleared early Monday. Outside of the Bee Hive Lounge were several shoes scattered along the pavement along with remnants of feathers, crushed cigars, and a white costume wig.

It was not immediately known how the shooting took place or who was firing weapons.

Palm Bay police detectives were reviewing information gleaned from witnesses. It was also not immediately known if the incident was captured on video.
