Man charged in road-rage shooting outside Allentown day-care

23-year-old Sedan Williams has been charged for the Friday morning road rage shooting that left a person injured outside an Allentown day care, reports said.

Williams, of the 600 block of Park Street, is facing charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment in the 8:57 a.m. shooting outside the Leaders of Our Future Learning Center in the 800 block of North 12th Street, reports entails.

Police were pursuing an SUV through Allentown after the shooting, a red Dodge Durango occupied by a female driver, a baby and another passenger, who was identified as Williams, according to a news release.

The person who was shot was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

Police were seen examining a silver car parked in front of the center. Its doors were open and a child seat was visible in the rear.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., firefighters began washing down the front walkway to the day care. A woman who identified herself as the owner said the shooting happened outside the building, not inside.
