Madison Harrison Death, Cause Of Death – Obituary: A teen who was killed Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Palos Heights has been identified as 14-year-old Madison Harrison of Alsip, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. Harrison died when she was ejected from a Honda Civic after it struck a Chevy Tahoe, authorities said.
The accident happened just before 7 p.m. in the 6300 block of College Drive/Route 83, near Ridgeland Avenue. The Honda Civic, carrying six teens, was eastbound on College Drive when it crossed into the westbound lane of traffic, hitting the Chevy Tahoe head-on, authorities said. An unidentified man was driving the Tahoe and was alone in the vehicle.
Harrison, who was a passenger, and two other teens were ejected from the Honda. Harrison was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she died from her injuries.
The other six persons were taken to Advocate Christ, OSF-Little Company of Mary and Palos hospitals. The two other teens ejected from the Honda were listed in critical condition. The conditions of the others were unknown.

The girl was a freshman student at Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, CHSD 218 announced on Facebook. Deputy Police Chief Bill Czajkowski said the driver and passengers in the Honda were all teens. Witnesses told police that the Honda was driving erratically before the crash.
“We’re getting warrants for the black boxes to see what both vehicles were doing before the crash,” Czajkowski told Patch.
Route 83 between Ridgeland and Austin was closed for several hours as police conducted an investigation, which is still ongoing.
