A 15-year-old school girl has died in a terrifying minibus crash on Scots motorway leaving two others struggling for their lives.
The teenage girl was travelling with six people – including a six-month-old baby – when the vehicle collided with a lorry on the M74 near Annan, Dumfriesshire around 4.45pm on Wednesday
The girl was rushed to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle but loss her life few minutes later.
According to the Police the red Ford Transit Tourneo minibus was travelling northbound at Junction 20 when it crashed with the HGV, before hitting the central reservation.
A teenage boy, 17, and a woman, 42, who are in critical condition are still hospitalized.
A six-month-old baby girl, a seven-year-old boy, a 12-year-old boy and the 45-year-old male driver of the minibus were all taken to the Cumberland Infirmary where they were treated for minor injuries.
The road reopened at bout 4:40 a.m. on Thursday morning after being closed for almost 12 hours.
