Long Ta Death – Cause of Death – A hit-and-run crash that happened at Edinger Avenue and Ward Street in Fountain Valley has claimed the life of a man on Saturday morning.
It happened that a 34-year-old man who was trying to cross the road when a vehicle going east on Edinger ran a red light for an unknown reason and struck the man.
Police identified Long ta, 34, of Santa Ana, as the victim of the incident. He was in a crosswalk with a green walk signal at the time of the accident.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found Long lying in the middle of the road, where he has sustained major injuries as a result of the accident.
Long was rushed to the hospital immediately, but the medical personnel announced his death on Monday 13th of September 2021.
Police confirmed that the driver of the minivan did not stop after striking the pedestrian. Instead, he fled westbound on Edinger. They described the car as a dark-colored 1991 to 1995 Dodge or Chrysler minivan.
The van was damaged front-end due to the collision. The Fountain Valley hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
