Kailey Prenoveau Death – Obituary – Cause of Death : Kailey Prenoveau 14, of Harwinton has been pronounced dead after a fatal car crash on Sunday night, August 22, 2021.
Kailey Prenoveau was a student at Lewis Mills High School. Reports say she was struck struck by the driver at around 9:20 p.m. on Hill Road. the driver of a vehicle that faced north in the southbound lane of Route 222, just north of Hayden Road, was speaking to Kailey Prenoveau out of his driver’s side window. She was standing in the southbound lane shoulder, next to the vehicle when a second driver who was heading south on Route 222 swerved off the roadway to the right to avoid hitting the first vehicle and Instead of hitting the first vehicle, the second driver hit Miss Kailey Prenoveau. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the medics.
Troopers responded to the 300 block of Hill Road where they said 14-year-old Kailey Prenoveau was pronounced dead. State police said that one of the drivers of the of the cars was an Oxford man who was headed southbound when he swerved off the side of the road to avoid hitting the other vehicle and struck Miss Kailey Prenoveau instead.
Both vehicles were damaged and towed from the scene. Police shut down the road for hours to investigate.
The crash remains under investigation.
