Lester B. Jackson Jr. death – obituary, cause of death : Lester B. Jackson Jr. 37 and two others found shot dead in the same six-block area in the small south-suburban village near U.S. 30 and Illinois 394.
According to reports gathered, two men were found shot dead on Sunday night, the third and fourth men to die from gunshot wounds within a mere block of each other in a three-day span.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Office in a statement, said the incidents remain under investigation and is unclear whether or not Sunday’s shooting and two separate shootings that occurred on Friday are connected in any way. The shootings occurred in the same six-block area in the small south-suburban village near U.S. 30 and Illinois 394.
The sheriff’s police were called to the 1000 block of Lexington Circle where they found a 29-year-old man with a graze wound to his head on Sunday night. the man apparently had been shot nearby in the 1400 block of Embassy Lane, and when deputies went to an address there, they found a 37-year-old man and 41-year-old man dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified Lester B. Jackson Jr. 37 years old but the other man killed Sunday has not been identified. the graze wound to his head man was transported to the hospital in good condition.
Then on Friday night, another man died in the 1400 block of Embassy Lane, this was according to police. 30 years old Nathaniel Barnes was found in a driveway with obvious multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Barnes later died at a Dyer hospital early Saturday morning.
Police department were alerted to Barnes’ shooting while still investigating another shooting, this one in the 1400 block of Senator Lane. That’s where 28-year-old Darjuan Greenwood was found dead with gunshot wounds to his head and chest. Greenwood was also taken to Franciscan Health Dyer, where he was pronounced dead just after midnight.
