Lena Barrett Thomas death – obituary, cause of death : Lena Barrett Thomas 94, of Temperance, MI. is dead. She passed away peacefully on November 16, 2020.
Lena met Eric Thomas and they got married in 1950. They relocated and settled in Canada in 1957 before moving to the United States of America in 1960. She became an American citizen eventually in 1996.
She loved nothing more than spending quality time with her children and that gave her more joy in her heart than she could ever imagine. her home was always filled with laughter, games and magic tricks where all the neighborhood children liked to play. She lived all her 60 American years in the beautiful home that she and her husband built by hand on a picturesque acre in Temperance, MI.
Barrett enjoyed a long career as the TV Supervisor for Wells TV at Toledo Hospital, after her children were old enough. She retired at the age of 62 to stay home and help care for her grandchildren.
She had loads of interests, including rescuing lost dogs, swimming and bowling. She loved swimming and she taught her grandchildren to swim. She was once a member of a synchronized swimming team at the YMCA. An avid bowler, Lena had a great hook, giving her a consistent 160 average, which often earned her weekly recognition in her bowling leagues.
Her larger-than-life personality and beautiful British accent made people to be more comfortable around her and enjoy her company. It also helped her tell great jokes and talk her way out of traffic tickets! She was infamous for her famed fairy tale.
She is survived by her loving son, David Thomas, her much adored grandchildren, Elissa Duck, Eric and Nathan Thomas; and her great-grandson, Charles Duck IV.

The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of death had not been made public as at the time of writing this report.
