Lancelot Wilson Griffiths death – obituary, cause of death : Lancelot Wilson Griffiths 67, has died. He passed away after a long battle with illness on November 13th 2011.

Lancelot was born on November 27, 1954 in Kingston, Jamaica, to the late Luther and Sepheline Griffiths. Raised in a family full of love and determination, where “family values” were not only talked about but were the order of the day. He had an active childhood and at an early age , he mastered the art of reproducing animate, and inanimate images on any paintable surface in true to life form.

He attended Central Branch Elementary School, he then gained admission into Gainstead High School, where he exhibited particular interest in the field of drafting. He was employed as a draftsman in the government services upon graduation.

In an effort to broaden his horizon, he embraced other opportunities, Lance later migrated to the United States in 1974. Not only did he continue his tenue in allied Architectural fields, he also exercised his multiple skills and proficiencies in various other disciplines.

After his relocation, Lance soon realized that the extended periods of “un-tropical” weather wasn’t something he would want to grow accustomed to without his beloved his childhood sweetheart Mavis by his side. He convinced her to join him here and Thirty-seven years and two children, he still referred to her as his “rock” and confidant.

Lance never lost his sense of humor; and, his giving and caring nature remained intact to his final day on earth. never failing to inquire about the welfare of his relatives and friends that he had not seen for a while. His quick wittedness and ready smile made it easy for everyone to feel welcome in his presence. Those enduring characteristics defined his personality.

He is survived by his rock, his wife, Mavis, sons, Steven and Andrew; grandchildren, Zenaya, Kayla, Stefan, and Gabriela; brother, Owen, sisters, Valdene, Loleta, Calmeta, and Blossom, brothers-in-law, Chester, Vincent, Leroy, daughter-in-law, Cynthia, nieces, Irene, Stacy, Renee, Erica, Melissa, Danielle, Dana, Dienna; nephews, Shevar, and David; and, numerous other relatives and friends.
