Margaret Knowles said, “My family and I are heart broken. Heaven gained 3 beautiful angles way to soon. I am at lost for words. This family barged into our lives 3 years ago. From Leah, Kennedy, and Kya going to little hands together for daycare, to Lacquora Smith being not only Kayla’s para but Lizzy’s para at the grade school. Then your family and my family became so close over the past few years. They were all like sisters. You became my person and sound board and vice versa. Not being able to talk to you everyday is going to be so hard.
Not seeing Leah and Kennedy grow up together is going to so hard. Watching Kya, Lizzy, Kayla, and Scarlett not grow up together is going to be so hard. You fought so hard to gain guardianship over Harley and to provide her a happy and safe home.
It was just a week ago your family was granted full guardianship of Harley. You were so happy and proud. You were going to be a great Mama to her like you were to your other girls. We are devastated. I am devastated. I am going to miss your infectious smile and laugh, your positive energy and witchy ways, and I am going to miss your love for saving every animal you encounter. Who am I going to call to save a just born baby mole that I found in my camper!?! I know God must have a plan to take you beautiful souls too soon.
I hope you are resting peacefully and know we will always take care of your family. Please look down on all of us and give us strength. Especially, to Travis Smith, Scarlett, and Harley. Fly high sweet Kennedy and Kya. Fly high my energetic, positive friend. You will be truly missed and never forgotten”
May God give the family of the deceased fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Lacquora Smith.
