Kyle S. Wimpenny Missing – Help Find Hiker From Idaho – A 25-year-old man from Idaho, Kyle S. Wimpenny had gone hiking in the High Uintahs on September 13, 2020 and was reported missing on the 17th of September, 2020 as he failed to return from his backpacking trip up to Kings Peak as promised.
According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Wimpenny told his roommate that he would return form the trip by Wednesday, September 16th but the search team located his vehicle at the Henry’s Fork trailhead.
Summit County Search & Rescue and Summit County Sheriff’s office began an extensive search for him immediately.
Crews have been searching by foot, horseback, and in aircraft (DPS & LifeFlight). The County Sherrif’s office appreciated the search volunteers and other agencies who are working tirelessly to find Kyle as new tips comes in.
